New blog and first post for Live Beats Webradio!

Welcome to the new Live Beats WebRadio blog! This is where I’ll share news about the app, updates, and links to interesting things I find along the way.

For a first post I wanted to share something that fits why Live Beats exists. MIDiA Research, a music industry research firm published a piece on September 18 called Gen Z and younger Millennials are turning to radio for music discovery. Its main finding is that 42% of live radio listeners aged 20 to 34 tune in to discover music.

This is what has intrigued me about radio ever since I tuned in to my very first internet radio stream using Winamp and Shoutcast. I was blown away when I heard songs I had forgotten about and discovering old “new” songs. I was hooked since then and I hope I can share that feeling to you with my app Live Beats WebRadio. The app is free with optional purchase to unlock full features.
